We are proud to support these amazing local charities.

To be considered for funding, a charity must supply shelter, food, clothing and other basic assistance to the hungry and homeless in North Texas. These charities do all of that and more. They offer hope to countless people in need.

Charities apply in June to receive funding from the Dallas Morning News Charities. The applications are reviewed by The Charities’ board of directors, with assistance from the Communities Foundation of Texas. Recipients are selected based on the quality of services provided, geographic and demographic coverage of the area, board and volunteer involvement and sound fiscal management. A balance is maintained between shelters, emergency services and rehabilitative programs, with each agency receiving a board-designated percentage of the contributions. For more information call (214) 346-5546
